French artist Cédric Le Borgne’s ethereal, illuminated Voyageurs (The Travellers) are sculptures made of light.

For Lumiere London 2016, These beautiful human forms were illuminated against the night sky. Sitting on rooftops, frozen mid-air in flight, they invited visitors to glance up and around the St James area, offering the possibility of connection between the sky and the ground, between dream and reality.

At Lumiere Derry~Londonderry 2013, Le Borgne’s dream-like figures adorned the city’s Peace Bridge. Appearing to soar and fly, they led thousands of people from one side of the river to the other.

Les Voyageurs (The Travellers) also featured as part of Lumiere Durham 2011. Travelling from Toulouse to Geneva, from Seoul to Durham, Derry and London, these beautiful, spiritual figures hovered silently above the crowds.
