Daan Roosegaarde is well known for his playful, interactive installations.

Each ‘marble’ shape contained LEDs and smart sensors that instinctively responded to human touch, changing their mood from ‘bored’ to ‘excited’ and becoming more animated as the audience interacted with them. They also multiplied these interactions between themselves, communicating with each other. The piece has previously appeared at locations throughout the Netherlands and also at Canary Wharf in London.

Engaging in a world shifting from analogue to digital, Studio Roosegaarde is the social design lab of the Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde and his team of designers and engineers.
