The Durham Elephant makes me so happy, please stay forever
Elephantastic was a huge installation that projected a 3D elephant into an archway on Elvet Bridge.
Emerging from a cloud of dust raised by his feet, treading the ground and engulfed in the vaulted passage, Ménestrier the elephant made his slow and heavy journey through the archway. This installation explored the strangeness of a wild animal in an architectural context and the scale between the animal and it's surroundings.
