Daniel Canogar

Daniel Canogar is a Spanish visual artist who specialises in videography and photography, his work has entertained audiences at numerous public spaces including installations in Times Square, the American Museum of National History and the atrium of the European Union Council in Brussels. Canogar will bring his expertise of new media to Durham and join the diverse range of acclaimed thought leaders at the Lumiere conference. His site-specific installations are renowned for reimagining existing structures and giving new life to loved buildings. During Light, Art, the Universe and Everything, Canogar will discuss the methods of his work, collaborating public intervention with video installation to create astounding imagery. His latest installation, Asalto Durham, will also be showcased during the Lumiere festival, transforming one of Durham’s most iconic structures for public delight.
