How your support helps

Since the first Lumiere in 2009, hundreds of businesses, trusts, foundations and individuals have lent their support to spectacular festival installations and a rich programme of creative activities.

The funding that Artichoke receives from Durham County Council and Arts Council England covers just over half of the total cost of putting on the festival and running Lumiere’s community projects. The rest is made up through the generosity of our partners and donors from the North East and across the UK.
