Viewing from Old Elvet Bridge: Old Elvet Bridge surface is a mixture of cobbles and flagstones. There is a steep incline from Elvet Bridge towards Saddler Street.

Viewing from Boat House area (below Old Elvet Bridge) via route behind Market Cross Jewellers: There is a very steep slope from Saddler Street behind Market Cross Jewellers and Klute where the path goes under Old Elvet Bridge leading to waterside. The surface is a mixture of cobbles and flagstones with a hand rail to one side.

Viewing from Boat House area (below Old Elvet Bridge) via steps next to The Tin of Sardines: 2 flights of steps (42 in total) with handrail to 1 side.
