Do you have a bright idea for Lumiere 2025?
We want to hear your proposal for a new light artwork that will transform the City of Durham for three nights
The UK’s light art biennial returns from 13 – 15 November 2025, and with it comes our national commissioning scheme, supported by EMG Solicitors.
BRILLIANT aims to encourage creativity across the UK as well as highlight brilliant ideas from people living in or originally from the North East. This is your chance to become a Lumiere artist and exhibit alongside internationally renowned artists!
BRILLIANT artists receive:
- A fee of up to £1000
- Support from an Artichoke Producer and Production Manager to realise their
BRILLIANT idea - Production/materials/fabrication/installation costs up to £7000
Remember, you don’t need to be a practising artist, or have any previous experience, you just need a brilliant idea!
The closing date for applications is Sunday 23 March 2025, 23:59 GMT.
