14. POINT OF (NO) RETURN

Anastasia Isachsen (Norway)

Interactive conception – Transversal Studio. Music – Nils Petter Molvær. Production – Fjord Studio

Location: Millennium Place

A deep reflection on self-destruction and the planet

Immerse yourself in an evocative interactive experience that responds to your presence and movement. As you step into the light around this circular installation, luminous ice begins to melt into flowing water. Step back, and the ice refreezes. Move and watch as the water’s flow spirals out of control, turning into a dark storm – approaching the point of no return.

Merging real-time visuals that respond to the viewer’s movements with an interactive soundscape composed by acclaimed Norwegian musician and composer Nils Petter Molvær, the POINT OF (NO) RETURN creates a shift in awareness – an emotional pause where we reconsider our role in the larger world.

While technology enables the experience, the heart of the work is a deep reflection on how our self-destructive tendencies affect both our inner lives and our planet. Asking us the most profound questions of our time: Is it too late to save our world? Are we at the point of no return? Is there still hope?

Serving as an immersive visual spectacle with a hauntingly beautiful soundscape, POINT OF (NO) RETURN becomes a powerful reflection on our choices and their impact on our future.
