Inspired by the dynamic movements and tones of the natural environment, Parallels envelops spectators in animated volumes of light.
Architecture Social Club is a British collective of designers, architects, technicians, and makers, who use light and sound to create architectural spaces of escapism and joy. Parallels is the latest of these experiments, inspired by the dynamic movements and tones taken from our natural environments. Located in Prince Bishops’ loading bay, a new industrial setting for Lumiere, and accompanied by a sound system created by Max Cooper, thousands of laser beams will envelop spectators in animated volumes of light. Moving imagery is stretched out into endless abstracted vivid atmospheres where ethereal fragments of natural phenomena pulse, fade, and flicker, alternating between moments of serenity to eruptions of chaos.
