Symphonie Conique

Air Vag (France)

A surreal universe of illuminated cones that moved and swayed in reaction to the crowd.

Rising up to 14 meters high above the ground, Air Vag’s multi-coloured cones towered above the masses on Queens Quay.

French Company, Air Vag create large installations using PVC. By day they adorn parks and streets with colourful sculptures, but as night falls, these beautiful objects begin to glow and sway, transforming spaces into something magical.

Air Vag have produced installations across the world in Sydney, Manchester, Rome and their native France. Another installation by Air Vag, Starry Night, was part of the first Lumiere Durham 2009.
