LUMIERE DURHAM 2011
A two-part neon provoking moments of curious enquiry in a public setting.
Celebrated artist and writer Tim Etchells’ returned to Lumiere Durham 2011 with Will Be. This work was made using neon, a medium in which he has created a number of signs that often produce awkward moments of intimacy in public settings.
Tim Etchells is an artist and a writer based in the UK whose work shifts between visual art, performance and fiction. He has worked in a wide variety of contexts, notably as the leader of the world-renowned Sheffield-based performance group Forced Entertainment. He is currently Professor of Performance & Writing at Lancaster University.
