Celebrated artist and writer Tim Etchells’ returned to Lumiere Durham 2011 with Will Be.
Will Be was piece that was made using neon, a medium in which he has created a number of signs that often produce awkward moments of intimacy in public settings.
Tim Etchells is an artist and a writer based in the UK whose work shifts between visual art, performance and fiction. He has worked in a wide variety of contexts, notably as the leader of the world-renowned Sheffield-based performance group Forced Entertainment. He is currently Professor of Performance & Writing at Lancaster University.
Tim Etchells also created other installations for Lumiere, Let’s Pretend None of This Ever Happened, Please Come Back, Wait Here I Have Gone to Get Help (all Lumiere Durham 2009), A Stitch in Time (Lumiere Derry-Londonderry 2013) and MORE NOISE(Lumiere London 2016)
