Colour the Castle

Durham Castle will be lit up with colourful projections created by you at this year’s light art biennial

Help us Colour the Castle for one of this year’s exciting Learning and Participation projects: a work of art by Mr.Beam

Everyone from County Durham is invited to reimagine the castle as their own piece of art. Selected creations will be projected onto part of the castle during this year’s Lumiere. Get creative, use colours, patterns, text or anything that inspires you and let your imagination run wild! To participate, download the PDF below and use our template as a guide to create your own design for the castle walls. Mr.Beam, is a Dutch design studio and production house, specialising in Immersive Experiences, Digital Art Installations, and AV Productions.

For the chance to have your piece selected, make sure you follow the instructions below and share your artwork with us at [email protected] by the 15 October 2023.

Scan or take a photo of your design on the template. Please fill in the fields on the PDF to include your name, age, postcode and email address.
