WE’RE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THE PRIMA COMMISSION: A UNIQUE LUMIERE ARTWORK COMMISSIONED FOR 2025
Lumiere and Prima Cheese are partnering on The Prima Commission, which will bring a dynamic artwork to Lumiere in 2025.
Established in 1996, Prima Cheese is a true North-East success story: a family business that grew to be one of the biggest cheese processors in the UK.
Founded in Sedgefield, County Durham by Mr and Mrs Beni, the family-owned business relocated to Seaham in 2001 to meet growing demand.
Their children, Nagma and Nima Beni, joined the company in 2004 and 2007 respectively, and today serve as coCEOs, while their parents remain as Chairman and Vice-Chair.
Prima has expanded into a nationally and internationally recognised pizza-cheese processor, operating five production lines, delivering across the UK and exporting globally – all while retaining its local ethos, investing in local facilities and workforce development.
Through the Prima Commission, we will champion innovation, creativity, and community, values which are at the heart of both Lumiere and Prima Cheese alike.
